Forward to youth! Laser rejuvenation gives the skin a second life

Using laser rejuvenation you can get rid of wrinkles on your face

Laser rejuvenation is no longer something rare and mythical. Today, everyone can return the years they lived. However, not all people have reliable information about laser rejuvenation methods, which is why they make mistakes when choosing the procedure.

First of all, you need to understand the types of procedures. Two of them are:

  • ablative;

  • non-ablative.

In turn, these types of influence are divided into:

  • solid (full);

  • fraction (incomplete).

Perhaps at first glance these methods of laser rejuvenation may seem similar, but this is far from the case. Only the result is the same: after properly selected types of treatment, the skin becomes several years younger and really looks much better.

Non-ablative laser treatment works on the deep layers of the skin, heating them up. The impact of laser beam energy on fibroblasts causes them to rapidly produce collagen and elastin. Microcirculation in the layers of the skin also improves.

This method is most effective when:

  • scarring and severe skin damage;

  • extensive rash;

  • hyperpigmentation and uneven complexion;

  • post-acne;

  • stretch marks.

Non-ablative treatment is based on the operation of the erbium laser. Due to the special wavelength (1550 nm), the upper layers of the skin are not affected, while the lower layers receive the necessary stimulation for renewal. As a result, most of the shortcomings have been eliminated.

Ablative laser treatment works a little differently. This method uses a carbon dioxide laser with a wavelength of 10600 nm. The influence is exerted not only on the lower, but also on the upper layers of the skin. The ablative method evens out the texture of the skin and achieves a lifting effect. Applicable for:

  • wrinkles around the eyes, small wrinkles on the face;

  • decreased skin tone;

  • pigmentation disorders.

It is important to note that the rehabilitation period after this procedure will be somewhat longer, because larger volumes of skin are exposed than with the non-ablative method.

Despite the differences, the essence of these two methods is the same. Using the energy of the laser beam, the water in the dermis is heated and literally evaporates. At the same time, the synthesis of collagen and elastin necessary for rejuvenation is initiated.

Fractional and continuous laser exposure

Although they give approximately the same results, these two methods have significant differences.

With continuous laser treatment, the laser acts on the skin in one large area. However, due to the excessive risk of scarring and long recovery time, this type of laser treatment is now practically not used anywhere.

In the second case, the laser is split into many small beams that form a grid. Thus, the laser, interacting with only 20% of the skin's surface, achieves a 100% rejuvenation effect. This method is more modern and safer, its use significantly shortens the rehabilitation time.

Laser photorejuvenation

This rejuvenation technique, as well as non-ablative, works on deep layers of the skin. But they are in no way the same or interchangeable.

The finest laser beams almost completely "ignore" the dermis, but have an excellent effect on the nerve endings in the skin, which give the body a signal to regenerate cells. Fine wrinkles disappear, skin tone is restored.

Devices such as KTP (wavelength 532 nm) and ND: Yag (wavelength 1064 nm) are used in laser photorejuvenation. Thanks to these parameters, laser radiation is perfectly absorbed by hemoglobin and melanin molecules, which are responsible for skin pigmentation. At the same time, water molecules are practically not heated. For these reasons, laser photorejuvenation is an extremely effective tool in correcting skin color and fighting vascular networks on it.

This technique does not require a long rehabilitation period and anesthesia.

Finally

Each method of laser skin rejuvenation has its own unique characteristics that greatly affect the final result. It is necessary to carefully choose the technique so that rejuvenation is not only an easy and effective, but also a safe process.

It is worth knowing that some cosmetologists do not reveal all the features of this procedure to the client and choose a device for laser treatment based on the principle of "what is available". To avoid this, you should contact experienced specialists with experience who have proven themselves positively during the entire period of work.
